Abstract
The disaccharide a-L-Rhap-(1->2)-a-L-(2-2H)Rhap-OMe has been synthesized. The site-specific deuteration was performed at C-2 by redn. of a suitably protected b-linked 2-ulose deriv. In addn., a-L-Rhap-(1->2)-a-L-(2-2H)Rhap-O(2H3)Me was also synthesized. [on SciFinder (R)]
