Abstract
The title compd. I (R = Ac, R1-R3 = EtCHMeCH2CO, R4-R7 = H) was prepd. from tetraacetyldiisopropylidenesucrose II via I (R = Ac, R1 = H, R2 = allyl, R3 = 4-MeOC6H4CH2, R4-R7 = PhCH2), which has a substitution pattern that allows the prepn. of derivs. having other acyl groups at positions 2, 3, or 4. The title compd. was shown to be identical to a naturally occurring sucrose ester. [on SciFinder (R)]
